Hi!

I wanted to give a plug for "transformational healing" before introducing our next Visiting Expert. I will keep this as short as possible.

Definition

I define "transformational healing" as a self-directed, inward journey that produces healing and change. There is nothing "esoteric" or religious about the processes used. They are usually relatively simple and practical.

History

Two of the oldest systems of Holistic Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Chinese Medicine use transformational healing processes extensively and hold them in high regard. Dr. Vasant Lad, a well-known Ayurvedic Medicine physician recently described one such process as the "single greatest healing factor within the Ayurvedic system of medicine."

One form of transformational healing is being used in Denmark by physicians to treat Fibromyalgia. Various transformational healing processes are also being used successfully by physicians at pain clinics (in the U.S.) and by persons who have recovered from FMS, CFS and multiple chemical sensititives and written books about their experiences.

Benefits (*my experience*)

Comments and Plans

While I am not an expert on these processes, I do have experience with quite a few of them. There are three transformational healing processes that I think might be particularly helpful to persons with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromylagia. Along with other, regular Visiting Expert presentations, I hope to have presentations on these processes. I am excited that the next presentation is on one of these transformational healing processes (my favorite one). :-)

Best Wishes,
- Mark
