Actions To Be Taken ------------------- 1. Locate a Practitioner --------------------- Use the Practitioner Resources at the end of this chapter to locate a holistic healing practitioner who is experienced with Detoxification techniques. Colon Therapists, Naturopaths, and sometimes Chiropracters have more likelihood of being experienced supervising detoxification techniques. If you cannot locate a practitioner in your area, you may want to consider travelling to a location that has such a practitioner. If this is not possible or you cannot afford a practitioner, then you may have to wait until you can get to a practitioner. Many people have done these detoxification techniques unsupervised (including myself), but it is much better to be supervised, especially for beginners. 2. Consider if you are rushing into the cleansing process. While detoxification techniques can help enormously in some people, *complete* healing is a gradual process. If you feel like you are rushing into it, then consider slowing down for a while and working on other techniques detailed in this guide, especially enjoying life and building a support network. 3. Decide on the Detoxification Technique -------------------------------------- You and/or the practitioner should look closely at your symptoms, the detoxification techniques in this chapter and the Prerequisites listed above to help you decide which detox to perform first. In some cases, you or your practitioner may decide that other techniques should be used before performing a detoxification technique. 4. Gather all Information/Supplies and Make Appointments ----------------------------------------------------- You should gather all of the information (e.g., books) and supplies (e.g., Arise & Shine Complete Clean-Me-Out Kit) that you will need for the cleanse. You will need to make any appointments (e.g., with Colon Therapists) that will be necessary during and after the cleanse. 5. Perform the Cleanse ------------------- Perform the cleanse. Please make sure that you pay attention to the suggestions in the "General Tips On Performing A Cleanse" section above as well as specific suggestions in each cleansing section. Don't forget to get as much emotional support, nurturing and enjoyment as possible during the cleansing process. 6. Perform the Rebuilding ---------------------- Use the ideas listed after each cleanse to help rebuild the area that was cleansed. Please remember that many of the other ideas in this resource guide are extremely powerful tools for both cleansing and rebuilding different parts of the body (e.g., yoga, breathwork, diet, etc.). 7. On-Going Techniques ------------------- Once you learn to do these on-going cleansing techniques, you should consider practicing them regularly. a. Skin Brushing b. Neti
